Chronology of Tangerang Boy Killed Due to Locking in a neighbor's car

Rakyat Update. MH (5), a boy from Karawaci, Tangerang, Banten, died of running out of oxygen after being locked for hours in a neighbor's RF car on Thursday (12/20/2018) yesterday.

Karawaci police chief Kompol Abdul Salim said the victim's auntie, H, at around 10:00, looked for MH and his cousin, BTF (4), around the house.

After hours of searching, H did not find MH and BTF.

H along with other family members, namely RP, tried to find MH and BTF in a car parked not far from the victim's house.

The car is often used as a playground by MH and BTF.

In the car, MH and BTF looked unconscious.

When he was rushed to the hospital, MH's life was not helped.

BTF survived.

"He entered, because every day the child played there. Maybe the name of the children could enter but could not get out," Abdul said when contacted by Kompas.com on Friday.

Abdul said, from the RF statement, the car was parked because it was damaged.

Several times the MH and BTF entered the unlocked car.

Allegedly, on Thursday afternoon, when both of them had entered the car, they could not open the door.

The car window is tightly closed so there is no oxygen coming in.

MH's body was buried in a public cemetery around his house.

Police have examined the families of victims and car owners to ascertain the cause of death of the victims.

"We continue to carry out inspections according to the SOP. The families of our victims have checked, so are the car owners," Abdul said.
