BPN Chairperson to the Media: You Are OK Just Let Prabowo
Monitor Utama. Chairman of the National Winning Body (BPN) presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, retired general Djoko Santoso asked the media to be kind to Prabowo.
He considered mentioning that there was nothing wrong with Prabowo's attitude to a number of media lately.
Djoko said Prabowo would do good if the media in Indonesia were also kind to him and reported according to the events that took place on the ground, without just looking for the mistakes or ugliness of the former Danjen Koppasus.
"I have known Prabowo for more than 40 years, if you (reporters) are good then he will be better, people are sportsmanship, love children, and honest, you are fine," said Djoko when met in Tebet, South Jakarta, Thursday night (12/20).
On that occasion, Djoko also agreed that the hard attitude that has recently been shown by Prabowo to a number of journalists because of the many mainstream media that did not report reunion 212 on December 2.
Djoko said, at that time Prabowo was quite disappointed because there was not a single media that reported the mass at the National Monument during the 212 reunion.
He stated that it would not be a problem if then many media reported Prabowo with tilted news.
"It's okay for us to be attacked by reporters, we only remind the media that the Reunion 212 was properly reported even though many did not like it, even I know there are some media who have boycotted Prabowo's news," he said.
Even so, Djoko also claimed to have corrected Prabowo's attitude. After all, he said, if indeed Prabowo was wrong, he would not just keep quiet.
"But if Prabowo is indeed wrong we will correct it, it does not mean I leave it," he said.
