Christmas and New Year's homecoming peak is predicted on December 24

Pojok Fakta. The surge in passengers at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta during the 2019 Christmas and New Year holidays is predicted to occur on d-1. Reflecting on last year's Christmas holiday, on December 24 the number of passengers reached 13,611 passengers, which usually only 3,500 to 4,000 passengers,

"The pattern of surges will be the same as last year," said Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Emiral August, Friday (12/21).

Meanwhile, as a form of anticipation of a surge in passengers on December 24, Kampung Rambutan Terminal itself has coordinated with intercity bus service providers to prepare reserve buses.

"If it is still not enough, we ask for assistance from tourism buses, with a note that the inspection is feasible or not feasible first," Emiral said.

Emiral noted that the most visited destinations were passengers in West Java such as Sumedang, Tasikmalaya, Garut, Cianjur, Singaparna. Then the Central Java region such as Cilacap, Tegal, Pekalongan, and Pemalang. Then, the Sumatra region of Lampung and Palembang.

Emiral August has also prepared health posts for passengers, security, inspection posts for bus drivers and motorized vehicle testing posts.

Emiral further said, the Kampung Rambutan Terminal has prepared special toilets for disabled passengers, the road in the terminal environment has been repaired, and the waiting room has been neatly arranged for the convenience of the passengers.

Anticipate ticket brokers
Regarding the anticipation of ticket brokers, personnel in the field have prepared Otobus Company employees (PO) from bus service companies in Kampung Rambutan Terminal.

"There are no brokers here, there are PO employees (Otobus Companies)," Emiral said.

Emiral appealed to people who want to buy tickets directly at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, must pay attention to people who offer tickets.

"Note whether the person has an ID Card or not, he wears a uniform or not. If there are no both, we will immediately report to us," he stressed.
